The Jackie Montgomery Memorial Ladies Pairs competition was played on Sunday 16th August with two sections of six Pairs playing each other over 5 ends.THe competition was watched through out by Mrs Sadie Montgomery who sponsors the competition along with her family.
After the section games were completed two Pairs emerged unbeaten from the sections to qualify for the final, they were Dorothy Robertson & Annette Garrick against Marie M.acKenzie & Cathy Crossan.
The firts two ends of the finals saw each team score 1 shot, in the third end Cathy & Marie scored a three, which they followed by scoring a one in the next end, althought Dorothy & Annette scored a one in the last end Marie & Cathy ran out worthy winners by 5 shots to 2. Well Done Marie & Cathy. |
